Ziti with Aurora-style Sauce and Fresh Peas (Ziti con Salsa Aurora e Piselli Freschi)

Ingredients

3 tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
1 box (16 ounces)BARILLA Ziti
2 1/2 ouncespancetta, chopped
1 jarBARILLA Sweet Peppers & Garlic Sauce
1 1/2 cupspeas
1 cuphalf & half
1 cupfreshly grated Parmigiano cheese, divided
1/4 teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes (optional)


PREHEAT oven to 350 F.
COOK Ziti according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1 cup pasta cooking water. Return pasta to pot.
HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add pancetta; cook 3 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally.
ADD Sweet Peppers and Garlic Sauce, peas, half and half, 1/2 cup cheese, and red pepper flakes. Continue cooking until thoroughly heated.
ADD sauce to hot Ziti. Toss, adding reserved pasta water to desired consistency. Pour into a 13x9 inch baking pan.
SPRINKLE with remaining cheese. Cover with foil. Bake for 25 minutes or until bubly



May susbstitute ham for pancetta.
