Thick Spaghetti with Shrimp and Calamari Ragout (Spaghettoni con Ragu` di Gamberi e Calamari)

Ingredients

1/4 cupextra virgin olive oil
3 clovesgarlic, chopped
1/4 cupfresh parsley, chopped
1 poundmedium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 poundcalamari, sliced into rings
1/2 cupwhite wine
2 cupscrushed tomatoes, canned
1/2 cupwater
to tastesalt
to tastefreshly ground black pepper
1 box (16 ounces)BARILLA Thick Spaghetti


HEAT olive oil in a large skillet. Add garlic, parsley and sauté until golden.
ADD the calamari and the shrimps, sauté for 3-5 minutes.
ADD white wine and simmer until reduced by half.
ADD tomatoes, 1/2 cup of water, salt and black pepper and let it simmer until desired consistency.
COOK pasta according to the directions. Drain and add to hot sauce in skillet. Mix well
