| 1 box | BARILLA Penne |
| 1 pound | Italian sausage, crumbled |
| 2 tablespoons | extra virgin olive oil |
| 1 clove | garlic, chopped |
| 1/2 cup | dry white wine |
| 1/2 cup | tomato paste |
| 2 cups | water |
| to taste | salt |
| to taste | freshly ground black pepper |
| 2 cups | green peas |
| 1/2 cup | Parmigiano cheese, grated |
BRING a large pot of water to a boil.
SAUTE garlic in a skillet with the oil until it turns light yellow.
ADD the crumbled sausage, sauté it until brown. Deglaze with the wine and evaporate it well by simmering for 3-5 minutes.
ADD tomato paste, water, salt and pepper and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the frozen green peas, simmer for 15 minutes more.
COOK Penne according to package directions; drain and toss with the sauce.
SPRINKLE with grated cheese before serving.
