Large Shells with Ricotta Cheese and Tomato Basil Sauce (Conchiglie Grandi con Ricotta, Pomodoro e Basilico)

Ingredients

1 boxBARILLA Large Shells
1/3 cupextra virgin olive oil
1 clovegarlic, crushed
1 can (28 ounces)San Marzano crushed tomatoes, canned (may substitute other canned crushed tomatoes)
to tastesalt
to tastefreshly ground black pepper
1/3 cupfresh basil, cut into thin strips
1 container (16 ounces)ricotta cheese


BRING a large pot of water to a boil.
HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté 1-2 minutes or until yellow.
ADD tomatoes; season with salt and pepper; simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
ADD ricotta cheese and fresh basil
COOK pasta according to package directions. Drain and toss with sauce mixture and serve
