Cellentani with Gorgonzola Cheese Sauce and Walnuts (Cellentani con Gorgonzola)

Ingredients

1/2 box (8 oz.)BARILLA Cellentani
1/2 cupcoarsely chopped walnuts
1 tbsp.extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cupchopped onion
3 clovesgarlic, minced
3/4 cuphalf & half
1/2 cupcrumbled gorgonzola cheese
1/2 tsp.salt
1/8 tsp.ground black pepper
2 tbsp.finely chopped fresh chives


TOAST walnuts in skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Remove from skillet; set aside.
HEAT oil in skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic 1 to 2 minutes. Add half & half; simmer one minute. Add remaining ingredients; stir for one minute.
COOK Cellentani according to package directions; drain and return to pot.
ADD Gorgonzola mixture to hot Cellentani; toss. Let stand 5 minutes. Transfer to serving platter or bowl



Substitute 2 teaspoons dried chives for fresh.
