Cellentani with Broccoli and Onion (Cellentani con Broccoli e Cipolla)

Ingredients

1/4 cupextra virgin olive oil
1 largered onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/8 teaspoonred pepper flakes, crushed (optional)
1 cuppitted kalamata olives
1 box (16 ounces)BARILLA Cellantani
4 cupsbroccoli florets
1/4 cupfreshly grated Parmigiano cheese
1 teaspoonsalt


HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and red pepper flakes. Sauté 3 minutes, or until onions are tender. Add olives; continue cooking 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
COOK pasta according to package directions, adding broccoli during last 5 minutes of cook time. Drain; reserving 1 cup pasta water.
ADD pasta and broccoli to skillet; mix well. Add reserved pasta water to desired consistency. Add cheese and salt; toss. Transfer to serving platter or bowl
