| 1 box | BARILLA Whole Grain Spaghetti |
| 2 tablespoons | olive oil |
| 2 cloves | garlic, chopped |
| 1/2 cup | onion, chopped |
| 1 teaspoon | dried basil |
| 1 teaspoon | dried parsley |
| 1/2 teaspoon | dried oregano |
| to taste | salt |
| to taste | freshly ground black pepper |
| 1 can (18 ounces) | canned San Marzano tomatoes |
| 1 can (18 ounces) | tomato puree |
| 1 pound | Italian sausage |
| 1/2 cup | Parmigiano cheese, grated |
BRING a large pot of water to a boil.
BROWN sausage in a large skillet, drain and set aside.
ADD olive oil and onions to the same skillet, sauté for 3 minutes. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
ADD chopped tomatoes and puree and cook down for 5 minutes.
Season with herb mixture, salt and pepper.
COOK pasta according to package directions.
ADD sausage to sauce mixture and stir to combine. Drain pasta and toss with sauce. Top with the grated Parmigiano cheese.
