Baked Ziti with Lamb and Mozzarella (Ziti al Forno con Agnello e Mozzarella)

Ingredients

2 tablespoonsExtra virgin olive oil
1 poundGround lamb
1/4 teaspoonRed pepper flakes
1 cloveGarlic
1/2 cupRed wine
1 jarBARILLA Italian Baking Sauce
to tasteSalt
to tasteFreshly ground black pepper
1 boxBARILLA Ziti
1/2 cupParmigiano cheese, grated
2 cupsMozzarella cheese, shredded
2 tablespoonsParsley, chopped


BRING a large pot of water to a boil. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
HEAT oil in a large skillet. Add lamb, pepper flakes, whole garlic clove and brown thoroughly.
ADD wine and cook until liquid is reduced.
STIR in sauce, one cup of water, season with salt and pepper. Simmer for ten minutes. Remove garlic clove.
COOK pasta half of the recommended cooking time. Drain and toss with the sauce. Place it in a 13 x 9 greased baking dish.
TOP with cheeses and parsley; bake at 375 F for 15 minutes
