 Employment Opportunities

Our Culture, Our Family

Since 1877, when Pietro Barilla opened his small pasta and bread shop in Parma, Italy, an entrepreneurial spirit has been at the heart of our company.  This spirit has fueled not only Barilla’s expansion into the world’s largest pasta producer, but Barilla’s remarkable growth in America since its arrival here in 1996.  In just a few short years, Barilla has become the #1 brand of pasta in the country.

From our home base in Parma, Barilla has been led by four generations of the Barilla family for more than 130 years.  Today, as a multi-national company, our business extends across the globe, as does our belief that we are a collaborative, extended family whose success ultimately depends on our ability to trust, support and help one another.  At Barilla America, that belief is instilled in all of our work, every day.

The vibrant culture of Italy -- not just its food, but its language, customs, and strong work ethic -- is a very important part of the work culture at Barilla America.  We also share our Italian counterparts' focus on finding the most talented people, emphasizing and reinforcing their strengths, and building a team of dedicated professionals who love what they do, contribute to our growth, and are rewarded for their efforts.

While our philosophy and work ethics are rooted in Italy, our American workforce is diverse.  We believe that we all learn from our differences, and as a company, in all areas of our work, Barilla America embraces the diversity that defines our country.
