Tabletop

Transform your tabletop to the seaside with a sophisticated nautical theme.  Reflect the colors of the sea (blue, gray, white and sand), and use a variety of textures to create your setting:  woven table runner, fish netting, clear glass and pewter plate chargers.    Large linen napkins
Solid colored plates fit almost any table setting.

Décor

The centerpiece is the focal point of every table.  Create an interesting array by adding different layers; place a fishnet on top of the table runner.  Vary the height and shape of the objects you use in the centerpiece. We repeated the lanterns to create symmetry and added in a variety of nautical objects for visual appeal.

Mood

Bring in items you would find on the seashore:  smooth sand stones, fishing nets, washed up corks and beautiful colored glass pieces.  Create small spots of lights with votive candles placed throughout the table.  Candle light passing through glass enhances the effect. Candles convey a relaxed mood and cast light up creating a soft glow.

Favors

It is always a nice surprise for guests when you send them home with a small gift.  Party favors are just one of those small details that are definitely worth the effort.  Favors are simply a warm reminder of the time you and your guests spent together.  Some of our favorite favors include books, photo frames, food items and candles.

Inviting guests into your home doesn’t have to be an ordeal.  The point is to have a good time and get to know each other better.  It doesn’t matter if you serve them in the dining room or in the kitchen.  Just make sure your guests feel welcome and have a good time.
