1989 - Launch of the “D’ora in poi” Barilla pasta sauces.
1990 - Launch of Barilla fresh pasta.
1991 - Misko, Greece’s biggest manufacturer of pasta, is bought by Barilla. Italian champion skier Alberto Tomba is hired to promote Barilla pasta, and Paul Newman is called on to wish a “Merry Christmas” to all Barilla customers.
1992 - Barilla buys Pavesi, an historic pastry company based in Novara.
