1939- Giuseppe Venturini designs a new Barilla trademark and the famous poster “Pasta sul pentagramma.” Barilla “Pasta Fosfina” is the first completely packaged pasta.
1947- After the war, Barilla expands its operations; a fleet of trucks opens up the market to the whole of Italy.
1952- Riccardo Barilla’s sons, Pietro and Gianni, now run the company. The campaign "Con Pasta Barilla è sempre domenica" (“Every day is Sunday with Barilla Pasta”) by Erberto Carboni wins the company the Palma d’Oro for advertising. Carboni also designs a new Barilla trademark.
1957 - Carboni designs new pasta packaging. Barilla takes part in international food fairs
1960- Barilla becomes a joint-stock company. The number of workers rises to 1,300 with a sales force of 200.
